Sarah works within the tax department at HURST, providing close support to both our business services and corporate finance teams. She also advises clients on a diverse range of tax matters, both personal and corporate.

I love my role because...

It's so varied. One week I can be assisting a client with a restructure to help them achieve their desired position in the most tax-efficient manner, the week after I can be completing a due diligence exercise for a client acquisition, and then I can be helping a client put a share scheme in place for employees. No one day is the same and we help clients at all stages of their lifecycle - whether they're looking to grow their business or ensure the succession for future years (or both!)

My favourite thing about HURST is...

The culture and the people. Everybody is so welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. My profile states that I joined HURST in 2021, I actually first joined in 2006, took a few years out at a big four and then returned to HURST.

Again I would say this boils down to the people, it is because of the people that HURST are able to offer such great service and advice. We all work together to offer a complete service that is unique to our individual client's needs. We take the time to get to know our clients.

When I imagine HURST in 2031...

HURST in ten years time... just imagine! We are always looking to grow and improve so hopefully we can build on an already great firm and continue to be the number one choice for our clients.

Anywhere that is face to face and serves a nice cream cake.
