HURST celebrates 40th anniversary
HURST staff came together this week to celebrate our 40-year anniversary.
Our firm was founded 40 years ago in 1982 by Malcolm Hurst, and on Tuesday we saw him return to join in the celebrations among current staff, including Managing Partner Tim Potter, who has been with the firm for 25 years, and at the helm for 17.
After a lunch time get-together with party food and picture albums, staff moved to The Light Stockport, where they listened to a brief history of the firm, as told by Malcolm, Tim, and Business Services partner Helen Besant-Roberts. A Q&A with Malcolm followed, where many memories of the past four decades were exchanged among staff!
Hursties were then treated to a social hosted by The Light, which included an exclusive Star Trek screening, food, drinks and arcade games.
Head of Practice & Development Simon Brownbill reflected on the events of the day, saying: “It was great to stand alongside Malcolm and reflect on the last 40 years.
Malcolm's mantra was to aim high, and recruit only the very best people. That mantra continues to serve us well and is something we are determined will stay part of our ongoing culture.”
