Executive Insight with Esther McVey MP (Postponed)
*Due to the announcement of an early election, we must regrettably postpone our event with Esther McVey MP. We're closely monitoring the situation and will keep you updated on a new date for our event.*
Esther McVey MP, a prominent figure in British politics, is set to join our upcoming roundtable event as part of our events programme aimed at providing valuable insights to entrepreneurs and senior decision-makers. With a general election on the horizon, we've invited representatives from major political parties to engage with the businesses we serve.
Esther previously spoke with us in July 2020 amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we're thrilled to welcome her back. Her distinguished career includes serving as Minister without Portfolio in the Cabinet Office since November 2023 and as Minister of State at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government from July 2019 to February 2020.
Prior to her ministerial roles, McVey held significant positions such as Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Treasurer of HM Household (Deputy Chief Whip), and Minister of State for Employment. She has represented Tatton as a Conservative MP since June 2017, having previously served as a Conservative MP for Wirral West from 2010 to 2015.
Beyond her political career, McVey has made notable contributions as a broadcaster and journalist, hosting programmes for GMTV, Channel 4, and the BBC. She also established her own business, providing office space for startups and founding the largest business women's network in the northwest of England.
McVey's diverse experiences and insights make her a valuable voice as we navigate the political landscape in anticipation of the upcoming general election. We look forward to hearing her perspective on the issues facing businesses and communities.
