About my role...

I joined HURST as a graduate in 2019 and have grown with the firm ever since – qualifying as an ACCA accountant with the firm’s support and progressing into a leadership role within the audit team. Now, as a Manager, I work with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, overseeing audits from planning through to completion. I review and resolve complex technical areas and work closely with clients to support them through tricky accounting issues.

I’m also really passionate about developing and mentoring our juniors – having been through the journey myself, I know just how important that support can be. I love being able to share what I’ve learned, encourage confidence, and help others grow in their own careers.

I love my role because...

I genuinely enjoy the variety my role brings. I really enjoy getting stuck into the more technical side of audits and helping clients navigate complex areas – but equally, I love the people side. Whether that’s building relationships with clients or supporting our juniors as they learn and grow, it’s so rewarding. Every day is different, which keeps things fresh and interesting.

My favourite thing about HURST is... 

Without a doubt, it’s the people and the culture. Everyone’s approachable and genuinely supportive. It’s a place where you’re encouraged to be yourself, to grow, and to work together. Even during the busiest times, there’s a team spirit that keeps you going – you know you’re surrounded by people who’ve got your back.

When I imagine HURST in 2031...

I see us continuing to grow – in size, in the clients we work with, and in the ways we innovate – but without losing what makes us us. We’ve got such strong values and a brilliant culture, and I can see us staying true to that while expanding our reach and leading the way in how we do things. It’s exciting to think about where we could be.
