Role Purpose 

• Audit Delivery:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee audit assignments to deliver high-quality results within agreed budgets and deadlines.
  • Identify audit risks and ensure comprehensive control assessments for each client’s business.
  • Take ownership of the technical quality of audit files and ensure thorough completion before Partner review.

• Team Leadership:

  • Lead, manage, and inspire audit teams, fostering an environment of continuous learning and collaboration.
  • Provide coaching, development opportunities, and performance feedback for junior colleagues to unlock their full potential.
  • Act as a mentor, ensuring team members are equipped with the knowledge and skills to excel.

• Client Relationships:

  • Build and nurture strong client relationships through exceptional service and the delivery of meaningful insights.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business to offer tailored recommendations and value-added advice.
  • Represent HURST with professionalism and integrity, ensuring our clients’ needs are consistently met.

• Compliance and Quality Standards:

  • Ensure all audits comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Review deliverables, including accounts, tax computations, letters of representation, and board reports, to maintain the highest standards.
  • Keep up to date with professional and technical knowledge through CPD and industry engagement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Full ACA/ACCA qualification or relevant equivalent experience (essential).
• Significant experience in delivering high-quality audit assignments in a practice setting (essential).
• Demonstrable experience of working with SME and/or international client bases across sectors such as manufacturing, TMT, and lifestyle/leisure (essential).
• Proven track record of leading audit teams and managing client relationships effectively (essential).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel 
• Experience with data analytics platforms such as Power BI, Data Snipper.
• Knoweledge and understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing others (essential).
