Role Purpose

Audit Delivery:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee audit assignments to deliver high-quality results within agreed budgets and deadlines.
- Identify audit risks and ensure comprehensive control assessments for each client’s business.
- Take ownership of the technical quality of audit files and ensure thorough completion before Partner review.

Team Leadership:
- Lead, manage, and inspire audit teams, fostering an environment of continuous learning and collaboration.
- Provide coaching, development opportunities, and performance feedback for junior colleagues to unlock their full potential.
- Act as a mentor, ensuring team members are equipped with the knowledge and skills to excel.

Client Relationships:
- Build and nurture strong client relationships through exceptional service and the delivery of meaningful insights.
- Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business to offer tailored recommendations and value-added advice.
- Represent HURST with professionalism and integrity, ensuring our clients’ needs are consistently met.

Compliance and Quality Standards:
- Ensure all audits comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review deliverables, including accounts, tax computations, letters of representation, and board reports, to maintain the highest standards.
- Keep up to date with professional and technical knowledge through CPD and industry engagement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full ACA/ACCA qualification or relevant equivalent experience (essential).
- Significant experience in delivering high-quality audit assignments in a practice setting (essential).
- Demonstrable experience of working with SME and/or international client bases across sectors such as manufacturing, TMT, and lifestyle/leisure (essential).
- Proven track record of leading audit teams and managing client relationships effectively (essential).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with data analytics platforms such as Power BI, Data Snipper.
- Knoweledge and understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing others (essential).
